The key to our success is our employees. These men of integrity are the backbone of the company. Each one brings a unique set of skills and versatility unmatched in the custom-home business. Meet a few of them:
Kenny Barnwell
I am native of Henderson County who married my high school sweetheart Pam in 1985, we have one daughter Laura. When I have spare time you can usually find me with my pets (1 dog, 2 cats, more snakes and birds than I can count) or on the computer playing a game of Generals. We spend several weeks each year in Honduras on mission trips and are very involved in our church, Middle Cross Baptist in Hendersonville. I have my Real Estate Brokers license and although I am new to real estate, I have worked for Mark Searcy building custom homes and developing land for over 4 years. I am a Realtor and a member of The Hendersonville Board of Realtors and The National Association of Realtors. In the time I spent working for Searcy Custom Homes, one of the things I have learned from Mark is that people come before profits! I will work hard in helping you realize your dream, whether it’s your first or second home or an investment. I look forward to working with you.

Scott Randall
Scott Randall was born and raised in Hendersonville. He attended Blue Ridge Community College. Scott is a loyal Carolina Panther fan despite their less than ideal record. Scott is known for his politeness, dependability, and determination to please. He has had several offers from Searcy Custom Homes clients to adopt him. Scott is the kind of guy you’d hope for your daughter to date. As a matter of fact, he not only dated, but married Mark Searcy’s foster daughter, sixteen years ago. He is married to Kelly and they have five children. They attend Bat Cave Baptist Church.

Timothy Whitmire
Timothy Whitmire, as a native of Hendersonville, grew up in the Clear Creek area. His first love is Volkswagens, and he has traveled these mountains on what few people would call a road, with nothing more than a toolbox and a chain saw in the back of a Baha or Dune Buggy, depending on which was running at the time. Tim started building at a young age with his first structure being a three-story tree house, with all the accessories. The wind blew out the third story and his cousin accidentally burned down the other two. At age 15 he started building with Mark Searcy to form what is now Searcy Custom Homes. Tim and Mark have been friends so long that Tim sometimes gives Mark Father’s Day cards and often raids Mark’s kitchen for whatever desserts he can find.

Tim is married to Barbara and they have two children. He enjoys playing the drums in the Orchestra at Mud Creek Baptist Church. But Tim will tell you that Christ is truly the one who has orchestrated his life. At age 16 he accepted Christ as Lord of his life. He is currently building his own house, and has built beautiful homes all over the area {wind and fire resistant}. Tim is undoubtedly one of the best builders in the region.
